As shown in the photos, Matt begins by using a grinder equipped with a vacuum to capture dust and debris, ensuring a clean work environment. Any cracks in the concrete are expertly filled and smoothed, providing a solid foundation before the epoxy is applied.

Meet Matt

Matthew Payne has called Southeastern North Carolina home since the mid-1980s. After dedicating 22 years of service to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department, he retired as a Lieutenant. During his tenure, Matt served as a Special Operations Commander, overseeing the Marine Unit and Dive Team.

Before his law enforcement career, and throughout his service, Matt honed his skills in the construction industry, specializing in building homes, decks, and remodeling projects. His hands-on experience quickly earned him a reputation as a master craftsman.

Beyond his professional work, Matt is passionate about woodworking, particularly in creating Adirondack furniture. In 2022, he expanded his expertise by launching an Epoxy Floor business, combining his extensive home improvement knowledge with a focus on delivering high-quality, professional results. Matt is eager to bring his years of experience to enhance the look and functionality of your home and garage.
